Shoulder injuries can affect anyone and often result from repetitive motion, impact, or overuse.
Common shoulder injuries include:
- Rotator Cuff Tears: Tears in shoulder tendons
- Dislocations: The upper arm bone pops out of the socket
- Frozen Shoulder: Stiffness and pain due to joint inflammation
- Bursitis: Inflammation of fluid sacs in the joint
- Tendinitis: Inflammation of shoulder tendons
Symptoms:
- Shoulder pain
- Limited range of motion
- Swelling or bruising
- Weakness
- Clicking or popping sounds
Treatment:
- Rest and ice
- Physical therapy
- Medication
- Surgery (in severe cases)
Prevention:
- Warm up before activities
- Maintain good posture
- Avoid repetitive overhead motions
- Strengthen shoulder muscles
