Understanding shoulder injuries

Shoulder injuries can affect anyone and often result from repetitive motion, impact, or overuse.

 

Common shoulder injuries include:

  • Rotator Cuff Tears: Tears in shoulder tendons
  • Dislocations: The upper arm bone pops out of the socket
  • Frozen Shoulder: Stiffness and pain due to joint inflammation
  • Bursitis: Inflammation of fluid sacs in the joint
  • Tendinitis: Inflammation of shoulder tendons

Symptoms:

  • Shoulder pain
  • Limited range of motion
  • Swelling or bruising
  • Weakness
  • Clicking or popping sounds

Treatment:

  • Rest and ice
  • Physical therapy
  • Medication
  • Surgery (in severe cases)
