We are excited to announce that our leather splint lab is up and running. We custom make leather splints to fit you individually. These splints provide maximum support for long term use of chronic injuries including osteoarthritis and wrist pain.

People restricted in their activities due to ongoing wrist or thumb pain or wrist arthritis often have a need for a brace for the medium to long term to support the wrist.

Long lasting leather braces and splints custom made to fit your wrist perfectly that are hard wearing, breathable, and allow a comfortable degree of movement but provide exceptional support for the wrist.

The benefit of leather is that overtime it adjusts to your body and conforms to you. It’s environmentally friendly too.

Custom made leather braces may be suitable for treating:

• Osteoarthritis of the wrist and thumb
• Rheumatoid arthritis of the wrist
• Wrist instability
• SLAC wrist
• Partial fusions
• Following fractures

To be fitted for a custom leather wrist or thumb brace, speak to your hand therapist, who will be able to create the mould for Mel to work with in our Leather Lab in our Mill Park clinic. The leather brace will be delivered back to you in approximately 2 weeks.
