Karen Fitt of Melbourne Hand Rehab, hand therapy specialists

Telehealth commencing 16th December

Melbourne Hand Rehab is delighted to announce that from Monday 16th December we are providing online hand therapy consultations.

What is telehealth?

Telehealth is the use of safe and secure video conferencing software to connect you with your health practitioner. It’s the delivery of online health consultations connecting you with a Melbourne Hand Rehab hand therapist for your hand therapy.

Who is telehealth suitable for?

Telehealth is designed to provide expert hand therapy consultations to people in rural and remote areas, where specialised hand therapy services may not be available. Telehealth is also ideal for people with mobility restrictions who may find travelling into a clinic difficult. Busy people also find the convenience of an online consultation preferable.

How does it work?

Telehealth consultations may be booked online or over the phone in exactly the same way as you would organise an in clinic appointment. You will receive an email invitation to our online platform, an online patient registration form and simple instructions to follow to get the most out of your consultation.

Who will the consultation be with?

Angela Cheng and Crystal Goodwin are our first telehealth practitioners. Both are senior therapists and have received training in telehealth consultation.

What equipment do I need?

You will need a computer (or phone/device) with a camera and a microphone and a stable internet connection.
