Thumb & Wrist Osteoarthritis Group Exercise Program

Our Thumb & Wrist Osteoarthritis Group Exercise Program is a supportive, small-group class designed to help individuals manage pain, improve strength, and maintain function through guided, evidence-based exercise and education.

This program is suitable for individuals diagnosed with thumb and/or wrist osteoarthritis who are seeking continued support and guidance to manage their symptoms, improve function, and reduce discomfort.

Led by one of Melbourne Hand Rehab’s experienced hand therapists, the program provides ongoing support and structure for people looking to take control of their osteoarthritis management in a friendly and professional setting.

Sessions include:

  • Targeted and individualised exercises for strength and mobility
  • Heat therapy to aid joint comfort

  • Pre- and post-program testing to track pain, strength, and function progress

How long do sessions last and when are they held?

Sessions run for 30 minutes on Tuesday mornings at 10-10:30am and are held once per week over a 6-week period. Each session includes warm-up, targeted exercises, and guided cool-down activities.
