I enjoy working with clients to help them overcome their current limitations, increasing their daily function so they can get back to completing the occupations that are most important and valued to them in their life. Aristotle once quoted that “The hand is the tool of tools,” which perfectly resonates with our profession.

Experience & Professional Development
Isabella completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University in 2021. Prior to joining Melbourne Hand Rehab, she gained over five years of experience within the public health system, working across a diverse range of clinical areas. These included trauma-focused hand therapy and plastic surgery, acute based care and community and inpatient rehabilitation settings, encompassing amputations, home modifications, stroke, geriatric rehabilitation, and palliative care. This breath of experience has equipped Isabella with a comprehensive skill set, enabling her to effectively assess and manage a wide variety of conditions.

About Isabella Cavar
I adopt a holistic, client-centred approach to practice, with a strong emphasis on building rapport to facilitate effective therapy delivery and ensure a positive and meaningful client experience. I am passionate about supporting individuals to regain functional use of their hands, enabling them to engage in activities that are most meaningful to them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with and walking my German Shepherd, going to the gym/Pilates, exploring nature while hiking through Australia and spending quality time with family and friends.
