Experience & Professional Development
Matthew graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in 2023. He completed nine clinical placements including a 4-week placement at the Melbourne Hand Rehab.
In addition to hand therapy, he volunteers with Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria which organises adaptive activities and events for people who are blind or vision impaired.
About Matthew Lu
My approach to care: I believe that effective treatment is best informed by high-quality evidence, experience and client preference. By emphasising collaboration and personalised delivery of care, I aim to inspire clients to take ownership over their recovery and promote sustainable self-management.
I am an avid rock climber and regularly enjoy spending time outdoors in the Grampians. My experience and passion in bouldering provides me first-hand knowledge and experience in treating climbing-specific injuries.
