Jess has expertise in fabricating:
- Immobilisation splints
- Finger & wrist mobilisation splints
- Elbow static, dynamic & torque transmission splints
- Static splints for positioning & prevention, secondary to a stroke, ABI etc
Jess is a certified SARAH (program for rheumatoid arthritis) hand therapist

Experience & Professional Development
Jess has over over eight years of experience in the public and private health setting. She has gained valuable experience in management of a variety of hand and upper limb rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in providing valuable supervision of junior therapists as a Clinic Director at Melbourne Hand Rehab Caroline Springs and as tutor for the Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy program.
Research:
- Abstract submission and project presentation to the St Vincent’s Research Week on Evidence-based group therapy program in the sub-acute setting 2019.
- Presentation of E-Poster at Occupational Therapy Australia Conference on Robotic Assisted Therapy and its impact on occupational performance and quality of life 2017.
- Completion of Honours thesis on Robotic Assisted Therapy for Upper Limb Injuries.

About Jess Cauchi
My approach to care: I believe that our hands are the way that we all engage in our world, so it is important to be well supported in the rehabilitation of them when they’re injured. I pride myself on treating my patients with compassion, empathy and dedication to return you to your optimal hand function post an injury.
I established my passion for Hand Therapy in university and have continued to concentrate on upper limb rehabilitation as both a general Occupational Therapist and now as an Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the AHTA).
Outside of work, I enjoy being with family and friends, being active and reading.
